Heathens Live At Flicker Bar, Athens, GA - June 20, 2002 A stripped-down, acoustic show recorded a year before Decoration Day’s release. Featuring novel and tight live takes on most of the album’s tracks - several performed for the first time ever - with additional back catalog tracks to round out this dynamic and raw set.

“Considered by many (including me) to be DBT’s masterpiece, this is the ultimate version of Decoration Day, sounding better than ever with an expanded presentation of Wes Freed’s iconic artwork and expansive liner notes by Stephen Deusner. Plus a very special live performance of an acoustic set from Athens, GA’s iconic Flicker Bar. We recorded the basic tracks for our Decoration Day album in late May / early June 2002 in Athens GA. On June 20, DBT was nominated for several awards at the Athfest / Flagpole Music Awards. We all dressed up in vintage suits and performed several songs at the beautiful Morton Theatre in downtown. We decided that it would be fun to go play an acoustic late night show at the tiny Flicker Bar, less than a block away from our beloved 40 Watt Club. We ended up playing a set that included all but one song off of our new but still unfinished album. . This is a beautiful document of our band at a very crucial and joyous moment in time. I’m so happy that it exists and we’re thrilled to present it to you as part of our Decoration Day celebration.
